Land Rover’s Invisible Car Technology

The ‘see-through’ effect looks like it is applied to the hood (or bonnet as Land Rover calls it) to provide an immersive augmented view of the terrain, making it appear as if the front of the vehicle disappears. The concept combines grill cameras and heads-up display technology to create a virtual overlay, revealing the terrain immediately ahead and the direction of the front wheels.

Perhaps this is just a glimpse into the world where offroad and technology collide. The concept appears to be in the early stagings of exploration but could be really neat for offroad applications. No need for front spotters on a trail! I’d love to have something trick like this on my Jeep! We’ll have to keep our eye on this tech and see where it goes.
