JeepStock 2016

Midwest Jeepthing’s (MWJT) premier annual event, JeepStock 2016 was a blast. We had everything from stock Jeeps fresh off the lot to seasoned drivers with crazy builds. We all converged in Seymour, MO for an epic wheeling weekend. The event took place at Southern Missouri Off Road (SMORR). SMORR is a nationally recognized top off […]

Disney, Oklahoma Wheeling Trip

This past March a couple of friends and I met in Disney, Oklahoma at a public use off-road park. We made a weekend of it and camped nearby. The goal of the trip was to put our Jeeps to the test and enjoy the good weather. Travis had recently lifted his TJ (white Jeep shown […]

Tuf Shine Permanent Tire Clearcoat

Some Jeepers don’t believe in tire shine. They feel it discredits the offroad worthiness of their rig. Personally, I like a dressed tire, even on M/T tires. I’ve purchased a lot over the years. Most dressings last a few weeks, but only looks great for a few days. I read about Tuf Shine Permanent tire clearcoat on […]

Clean Wheels

The city of Springfield saw fit to use a lot of salt this past winter. Couple that with brake dust and SMORR mud and you have a dirty undercarriage. As you can probably tell, I wash my Jeep often. But, once or twice a year I take this to the extreme and deep clean the Jeep. […]

2014 Big Run

The second annual Big Run at SMORR (Southwest Missouri Offroad Ranch) was Saturday April 12. This event is one of my favorites. A “big” and ” little” from the organization Big Brother’s Big Sister’s is paired with a Jeep. It’s a day of enjoying the sunshine, trails and each other’s company. We had excellent weather […]

Big Bend National Park Adventure

My wife and I went on an over-landing vacation in the back country of Big Bend National Park in Southwest Texas. We went backpacking, camped under the stars and hiked a lot of trails. The Jeep saw a little bit of trail action too. The scenery was beautiful and the hiking was awesome. The trip […]

June SMORR Run

June 22nd, 2013. It was a beautiful day to be offroad. Scott and I met at 9:00 AM and worked our way down Ranch Road at Southwest Missouri Off-Road Ranch (SMORR). This is one of the main roads/trails used to get around the off-road ranch. We were headed to the side of the ranch that […]

March 2013 SMORR Jeep Snow Run

Jeep Rubicon looking mean at Southwest Missouri Off Road Ranch (SMORR) Early during this trip I sliced my side wall going up a rocky ledge. Lucky for me, Brandon had a Hi-Lift jack or my wheeling day would have been completely different. I really need to buy one. We should to have used a Hi-lift […]

Bug Slaying Machine

We took the Jeep to St Louis this weekend. It destroyed a lot of bugs along the way. I guess Jeeps are still round were they should be square and square where they should be round. The gas mileage was okay, we got about 19 mpg.
